CLEVELAND, Miss.\u2014<\/strong>Enjoy a Delta delicacy while supporting a worthy cause during the annual Crawfish Boil, hosted by the Bolivar County Chapter of the National Alumni Association at Delta State University.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event will now be held IN-PERSON<\/strong> from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, at the DSU Quadrangle. The DSU community and the general public are encouraged to support.<\/p>\n

Pre-orders are requested and can be made by visiting\u00a0https:\/\/deltastategiving.org\/events\/bolivar-county-alumni-chapter-crawfish-boil\/<\/a><\/p>\n

Orders are $25 each and will include 3lbs of crawfish, plus corn and potatoes.<\/p>\n

Proceeds will support the Liza Vaughn Memorial Scholarship, designed to support deserving Delta State students from Bolivar County who display financial need.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Crawfish Boil is always a highly anticipated event,\u201d said James Forte, director of Alumni Affairs and Annual Fund at Delta State.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhile we had to adjust the format this year, we\u2019re excited to continue this worthy cause. We encourage everyone to come out and support, and we\u2019re looking forward to seeing our local alumni, friends and supporters.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Liza Vaughn Memorial Scholarship was named for past assistant director of Alumni Affairs, Liza Vaughn, who lost her battle with cancer in April of 2012.<\/p>\n
