{"id":85730,"date":"2020-01-28T09:57:21","date_gmt":"2020-01-28T15:57:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=85730"},"modified":"2020-01-28T10:20:29","modified_gmt":"2020-01-28T16:20:29","slug":"delta-states-office-of-communications-and-marketing-wins-two-2020-case-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2020\/01\/delta-states-office-of-communications-and-marketing-wins-two-2020-case-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State\u2019s Office of Communications and Marketing Wins Two 2020 CASE Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delta State University\u2019s Office of Communications and Marketing (CommMark) earned two 2020 awards in web design from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), District III\/Southeast.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Led by web designer Gregory Braggs Jr., \u201915 BS interdisciplinary studies, \u201916 BS entertainment industry studies, and \u201919 MBA, CommMark won a silver award in the individual digital advertising category for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/economic-impact\/\">Delta State\u2019s $175 million economic impact web page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CommMark also picked up a bronze award in the total website design and organization category for a redesign of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/bluesconference\/\">International Conference on the Blues website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Braggs will travel to the forthcoming District III CASE conference at the Loews Sapphire Falls Resort at Universal Orlando\u2122, Fla., Feb. 9-12, to represent CommMark at the awards ceremony.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_85732\" style=\"width: 240px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-85732\" class=\"wp-image-85732\" src=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/01\/Greg-Braggs_-286x430.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"230\" height=\"346\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/01\/Greg-Braggs_-286x430.jpg 286w, https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/01\/Greg-Braggs_-768x1154.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/01\/Greg-Braggs_-681x1024.jpg 681w, https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2020\/01\/Greg-Braggs_-80x120.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-85732\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Gregory Braggs<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<br \/>\nHe\u2019ll go on behalf of Holly Ray, graphic designer, and Peter Szatmary, director, who contributed to these projects, as well as the rest of the CommMark team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad to see that some of the work I\u2019ve done stands with some of the other universities across the Southeast,\u201d said Braggs, who began working at Delta State in July 2017. \u201cI\u2019m proud of the way both projects turned out and that the work involved in them was recognized not only by the Delta State community but also by the larger academic world. There are a lot of things I really like about these projects, including their unique design, well-organized layout, and the topics they represent.
