Coach Nienaber is one of the NCAA DII\u2019s most successful head coaches. Here are some numbers on the newest member of the DSU Family.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coach Nienaber is the 16th head coach of men\u2019s basketball.<\/li>\n<li>His 593 career wins rank 11th among all active NCAA Division II head coaches.<\/li>\n<li>In his illustrious 20-year career at Christian Brothers, he amassed a 351-224 record, winning two Gulf South Conference championships and the 2009 South Region championship.<\/li>\n<li>He has been awarded the GSC Coach of the Year three times, and he was the recipient of the 2009 National Association of Basketball Coaches South Region Coach of the Year honor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In other news on campus, summer I session is in full swing, and while it is too late to sign up for this term, you can sign up for summer II courses until registration closes on July 2.<\/p>\n<p>To keep up with all of our news, events and activities, please visit our website at deltastate.edu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Joining President LaForge is Mike Nienaber, the 16th head coach of Delta State men\u2019s basketball.
