{"id":83517,"date":"2019-04-30T09:12:54","date_gmt":"2019-04-30T14:12:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=83517"},"modified":"2019-04-30T09:12:54","modified_gmt":"2019-04-30T14:12:54","slug":"2019-bolivar-county-crawfish-boil-by-the-numbers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2019\/04\/2019-bolivar-county-crawfish-boil-by-the-numbers\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Bolivar County Crawfish Boil by the Numbers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>More than 300 people attended the Bolivar County Alumni Chapter Crawfish Boil on April 11.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Here are some delectable numbers about the menu for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2019\/04\/delta-state-alumni-foundation-spices-it-up-again-with-annual-bolivar-county-alumni-chapter-crawfish-boil-on-april-11\/\">down-home event<\/a>, which was hosted by the Delta State University National Alumni Association and took place on the lawn of the Walter Sillers Coliseum on the DSU campus.<\/p>\n<p>Servings included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>14,000+ pounds of crawfish<\/li>\n<li>396 ears of corn<\/li>\n<li>150 pounds of potatoes<\/li>\n<li>80 pounds of sausage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also on the menu: barbecue. Children were treated to free Domino\u2019s Pizza and ice cream courtesy of Denton Dairy.<\/p>\n<p>Singer\/guitarist Chris Boykin \u201912 and Cleveland Central High School Jazz Band performed. Our sponsors come out and not only eat, but also help serve. We couldn\u2019t do this without them.
