{"id":81827,"date":"2018-10-31T18:46:19","date_gmt":"2018-10-31T23:46:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=81827"},"modified":"2018-10-31T18:46:19","modified_gmt":"2018-10-31T23:46:19","slug":"tickets-on-sale-for-award-winning-jersey-boys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2018\/10\/tickets-on-sale-for-award-winning-jersey-boys\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickets on Sale for Award-Winning &#8220;Jersey Boys&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Tickets are on sale for the Cleveland premiere engagement of the Tony-, Grammy-, and Olivier Award-winning hit musical, <em>Jersey Boys<\/em>, the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, playing the Bologna Performing Arts Center (BPAC) on Nov. 8, 2018 at 7:30 PM. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Directed by two-time Tony-winner Des McAnuff, <em>Jersey Boys<\/em> won the 2006 Tony for best musical, the 2006 Grammy for best musical show album, the 2009 Olivier for best new musical (London), and the 2010 Helpmann Award for best musical (Australia). <em>Jersey Boys<\/em> is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe, and choreography by Sergio Trujillo.<\/p>\n<p><em>Jersey Boys<\/em> is the behind-the-music account of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, just four guys from Jersey\u2014until they sang their first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard and the radio just couldn\u2019t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a different story. The show features all their hits, including \u201cSherry,\u201d \u201cBig Girls Don\u2019t Cry,\u201d \u201cOh What a Night,\u201d \u201cWalk Like a Man,\u201d \u201cCan\u2019t Take My Eyes Off You,\u201d and \u201cWorking My Way Back to You.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>Jersey Boys <\/em>opened in New York on Nov. 6, 2005, and by the time it closed more than 11 years later on Jan. 15, 2017, it was the 12<sup>th<\/sup> longest running show in Broadway history. <em>Jersey Boys <\/em>will return to New York with a new production in November. The U.S. national tour opened to rave reviews in San Francisco in December 2006 and is still breaking house records in cities across North America. <em>Jersey Boys <\/em>tours of the United Kingdom and Australia will begin at the end of 2017 and 2018, respectively. <em>Jersey Boys <\/em>has been seen by more than 25 million people worldwide as of August 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Jersey Boys <\/em>design and production team comprises Klara Zieglerova (scenic design), Jess Goldstein (costume design), Howell Binkley (winner of the 2006 Tony for lighting design of <em>Jersey Boys<\/em>), Steve Canyon Kennedy (sound design), Michael Clark (projections design), Charles LaPointe (wig and hair design), Steve Orich (orchestrations), and Ron Melrose (music supervision, vocal\/dance arrangements and incidental music).<\/p>\n<p><em>Jersey Boys <\/em>is produced by Dodger Theatricals, Joseph J.
