Registration for the award-winning conference is now open at:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/winning-the-race\/registration\">https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/winning-the-race\/registration<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The conference is free and open to the public thanks to generous donations from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, the Mississippi Humanities Council, campus groups,and individuals. Registration is required for all conference attendees. Online registration is open until March 12. Registration after March 12 will take place on site, March 26-27, at the Bologna Performing Art Center.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/winning-the-race\/about\/\">Featured speakers and breakout sessions<\/a> include keynote speakers Kevin Powell and Dave Dennis, a concert by Marco Pav\u00e9, a Delta State faculty forum and sessions focusing on education, community, culture, social justice, civil rights, law and economic opportunities.\u00a0For more information, contact Dr. Temika Simmons at <a href=\"mailto:tsimmons@deltastate.edu\">tsimmons@deltastate.edu<\/a> or Dr. Chuck Westmoreland at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:cwestmoreland@deltastate.edu\">cwestmoreland@deltastate.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Other upcoming events include:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"xmsonormal\"><b>March 1-31 \u2013 Donation Drive for Domestic Violence Shelter<br \/>\n<\/b>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Donation boxes for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ourhousevoices.com\/\">Our House, Inc.<\/a>, a domestic violence center in Greenville, Mississippi, have been placed on the first floors of the Union, Kethley, Jobe, Kent Wyatt and the Roberts-LaForge Library. Pulseras are hand-woven bracelets. Student and teacher volunteers raise funds that benefit fair trade jobs, worker rights, sustainability and education, while learning about the culture, lives and struggles of Central Americans.
