{"id":78741,"date":"2018-02-05T08:34:00","date_gmt":"2018-02-05T14:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=78741"},"modified":"2018-02-05T08:34:00","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T14:34:00","slug":"atwill-honored-employee-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2018\/02\/atwill-honored-employee-month\/","title":{"rendered":"Atwill honored as Employee of the Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Delta State University Staff Council recently honored Abbey Atwill, campaign and research coordinator for University Advancement and External Relations, as the January 2018 Employee of the Month.<\/p>\n<p>She joined Delta State in 2016 after beginning her career in Little Rock, Arkansas, working in event planning and public relations.<\/p>\n<p>Atwill, a native of Brinkley, Arkansas, attended the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelor of Science in human environmental science with a concentration in food, human nutrition and hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and cheering for the Razorbacks.<\/p>\n<p>Made up of volunteers from the Staff Council, the Incentives &amp; Recognition committee meets monthly to review nominations for the Employee of the Month award. The committee has been celebrating staff performance in this manner for over 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>Delta State\u2019s Staff Council serves as a liaison between the administration and the staff to provide a formal process for staff to discuss issues involving university policies and procedures and to forward ideas, recommendations and opinions to the president.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Delta State University Staff Council recently honored Abbey Atwill, campaign and research coordinator for University Advancement and External Relations, as the January 2018 Employee of the Month.
