Capps, Jr. Archives and Museum at Delta State University.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Listen to the\u00a0NPR segment and view the story online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2017\/03\/18\/519017287\/the-legacy-of-the-mississippi-delta-chinese\">http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2017\/03\/18\/519017287\/the-legacy-of-the-mississippi-delta-chinese<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>University Archivist, Emily Jones, welcomed NPR during their recent stop in the Delta.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201c<span class=\"s1\">Where Chinese grocery stores once dominated our small towns, today their influence is markedly less notable,\u201d said\u00a0Jones, in a previous press release. \u201cIt is because of their physical absence that documenting, preserving and retelling their stories becomes vital.\u201d \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The museum is open\u00a0Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at no charge.
