{"id":70634,"date":"2016-06-28T13:40:49","date_gmt":"2016-06-28T18:40:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=70634"},"modified":"2016-06-28T15:07:15","modified_gmt":"2016-06-28T20:07:15","slug":"grammy-museum-launching-stevie-ray-vaughan-exhibit-in-style","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2016\/06\/grammy-museum-launching-stevie-ray-vaughan-exhibit-in-style\/","title":{"rendered":"GRAMMY Museum celebrating Stevie Ray Vaughan exhibit in style"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">GRAMMY Museum<\/span><span class=\"s3\"><sup>\u00ae<\/sup><\/span><span class=\"s1\"> Mississippi is gearing up for its new exhibit &#8220;Pride &amp; Joy: The Texas Blues of Stevie Ray Vaughan\u201d with a special event Wednesday.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">The evening&#8217;s main event kicks off with a concert on the museum\u2019s front lawn at 7:30 p.m., headlined by\u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s1\">Wes Sheffield and the Slowburners, along with 17<\/span><span class=\"s1\">-year-old blues guitar phenom Christone \u201cKingfish\u201d Ingram from Clarksdale.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\">Stevie&#8217;s brother, Jimmie Vaughan, will help celebrate the unveiling of the exhibit he helped curate.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p4\"><span class=\"s1\">Tickets to the show are\u00a0$15 in advance and $20 the day of the performance. Tickets can be purchased <a href=\"https:\/\/sales.grammymuseumms.org\/performance.aspx?pid=23\"><span class=\"s4\">online<\/span><\/a>, by calling the museum box office at 662-441-0100, or in person at 800 W. Sunflower Rd. in Cleveland.
