Titled \u201cBack\u00a0Where\u00a0I\u00a0Come\u00a0From,\u201d\u00a0the\u00a0concert will\u00a0explore\u00a0these artists\u2019\u00a0Mississippi\u00a0ties\u00a0through a special evening of music and conversation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u00a0couldn\u2019t\u00a0think of a better way to pay respect to the people who have brought us so\u00a0much\u00a0enjoyment\u00a0through\u00a0their\u00a0music\u00a0than\u00a0to\u00a0have\u00a0them\u00a0performduring\u00a0this\u00a0exciting\u00a0weekend,\u201d said Lucy Janoush, President of the Cleveland Music Foundation. \u201cThere will also be special guests in attendance who will be recognized for their lasting contributions to the music we all\u00a0love.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs\u00a0native Mississippians, we\u00a0are\u00a0truly honored to be a part of this grand opening,\u201d said The Williams Brothers\u2019 Doug Williams. \u201cThe heritage of gospel music has very deep roots here in Mississippi and\u00a0many\u00a0gospel greats came from this state.\u00a0We\u00a0would like to personally thank the GRAMMY Museum for recognizing the rich musical heritage of this state, and for opening only the second museum of this\u00a0nature\u00a0here on these\u00a0grounds.<\/p>\n<p>Doug Williams\u2019 brother Melvin added, \u201cThere\u00a0are\u00a0artists that put a stamp on\u00a0my\u00a0heart and soul so deep \u2018til this day, it still remains relevant after all these years, especially ones with Mississippi roots like Aretha Franklin, The Staple Singers, Bo Diddley, Sam Cooke, and\u00a0my\u00a0dad, Leon\u00a0\u201cPop\u201d\u00a0Williams, and the legendary Jackson Southernaires.\u00a0Me\u00a0being a country boy born and raised in Mississippi\u00a0singing\u00a0gospel\u00a0music\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0cottons\u00a0fields\u00a0to\u00a0beingrecognized\u00a0as\u00a0part\u00a0of\u00a0such\u00a0an\u00a0historic event as the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi grand opening is priceless. Every night is Mississippi Night in the wide, wide world of American Music.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chart-topping recording artist, accomplished producer, hit songwriter and studio owner Mac McAnally marked another note in history with a record-breaking eight consecutive wins as the Country Music Association\u2019s Musician of the Year in 2015.\u00a0 McAnally was first honored with the Musician of the Year award in 2008, and has won every year since.\u00a0 Beyond being one of the most respected guitar players and vocalists in Nashville, he has also been nominated for a CMA Award as an artist.<\/p>\n<p><em>A.K.A. Nobody<\/em>\u00a0is McAnally\u2019s latest solo album, sung, performed and produced by the much beloved session ace.\u00a0 All but one of its songs were written by McAnally, either on his own or with illustrious co-writers including Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown, Sonny Landreth, Chris Stapleton, Al Anderson, and others.\u00a0 Working with an all-star assembly of friends and studio colleagues, McAnally achieves a rare blend of deep soul and polished technique on each track.\u00a0 The ironic tile notwithstanding, the music of\u00a0<em>A.K.A. Nobody<\/em>\u00a0speaks to everybody.<\/p>\n<p>McAnally\u2019s depth and breadth as an artist are no secret with the recording community.\u00a0 McAnally grew up in Belmont, Mississippi and was raised on church choirs and formal lessons, playing pro gigs at 13, tutored on the mysteries of session excellence at the historic Muscle Shoals Studios and relocated to Nashville, he was an essential ingredient on studio dates with Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton George Strait, Lee Ann Womack, Randy Travis, George Jones, Billy Joel and many other headliners.\u00a0 And with a track record that includes writing No. 1 hits on his own for Kenny Chesney (\u201cDown the Road\u201d) and Alabama (\u201cOld Flame\u201d) as well as penning chart-toppers for Sawyer Brown (\u201cAll These Years\u201d) and Shenandoah (\u201cTwo Dozen Roses\u201d), it\u2019s no wonder that he has been voted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n<p>Sonny Landreth was born in Canton, Mississippi, but grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. The melding of those two places gave him the name \u201cKing of\u00a0Slydeco\u201d\u00a0from his inimitable slide guitar technique together with southwest Louisiana influences of zydeco.\u00a0He\u00a0has enjoyed a prolific career for decades as a solo artist, celebrated\u00a0sideman\u00a0and\u00a0session\u00a0player.\u00a0Over\u00a0the\u00a0years\u00a0he\u00a0performed\u00a0and\u00a0recorded\u00a0with\u00a0artists\u00a0that\u00a0include British\u00a0blues\u00a0innovator\u00a0JohnMayall\u00a0and\u00a0toured\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0member\u00a0of\u00a0Jimmy\u00a0Buffett\u2019s\u00a0band\u00a0as\u00a0well.<\/p>\n<p>Landreth\u2019s\u00a0latest\u00a0album\u00a0<em>Bound\u00a0by\u00a0the\u00a0Blues\u00a0<\/em>was\u00a0released\u00a0in\u00a02015.\u00a0<em>Vintage\u00a0Guitar\u00a0<\/em>magazine\u00a0said,\u00a0\u201cLandreth is\u00a0arguably\u00a0the\u00a0finest\u00a0living\u00a0slide-guitar\u00a0playeron\u00a0the\u00a0planet.\u201d\u00a0The\u00a0instrumental\u00a0\u201cFirebird\u00a0Blues\u201d\u00a0from\u00a0that album\u00a0was\u00a0created\u00a0for\u00a0his\u00a0hero\u00a0and\u00a0fellow\u00a0guitar\u00a0ace\u00a0Johnny\u00a0Winter,\u00a0who\u00a0also\u00a0grew\u00a0up\u00a0inMississippi.<\/p>\n<p>As Landreth said,\u00a0\u201cIt\u2019s\u00a0always been about getting out on the road and playing these songs\u00a0anyway.\u00a0For\u00a0me,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0a continuum of that, with the songwriting process, going in to record and taking that out on the road.\u00a0That\u2019s\u00a0still a familiar format for me, although a lot of the other moving parts have changed. As long as\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0soulful and I can get the message out there,\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Muddy Magnolias, the soulful duo of Kallie North and Jessy Wilson, are fresh on the music scene after meeting in Nashville just three years ago. Within six months of individually landing in Music City, North and Wilson met, became songwriting partners and bandmates. Before releasing a single, Muddy Magnolias had earned rave reviews from national press.\u00a0\u00a0<em>Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0praised, &#8220;a sound that melds city grit and Delta dirt, exploding onstage not like two lead singers but more like parts of the same whole&#8230;performed as if Mick Jagger and Keith Richards inhabited the Indigo Girls.\u201d\u00a0 They also landed a coveted spot in\u00a0<em>Elle<\/em>\u00a0magazine&#8217;s 2015 Women in Music issue. Now, with new music produced by Butch Walker (Weezer, Pink, Panic!
