The Bologna Performing Arts Center welcomes Tall Stories Theatre Company of London, England, on Nov. 13 for the performance of “Room on the Broom,” a musical based on the beloved children\u2019s book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler.<\/p>\n
Showing once at 9:30 a.m. and again at 11:30 a.m., the production is\u00a0is recommended for school groups and families with children in pre-k through third grade, with curriculum connections in language arts, literature, science, fine arts and community values.<\/p>\n
The performance is part of the BPAC’s School-Time Matinee Series.<\/p>\n
The Sunday Times<\/em> has described the show as \u201c55 minutes of high-energy treat.\u201d<\/p>\n The witch and her cat are flying happily on their broomstick \u2013 until a stormy wind blows away the witch’s hat, bow and wand. A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch’s lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But this broomstick’s not meant for five and \u2013 CRACK \u2013 the broom snaps in two.
