A group of Delta Music Institute students at Delta State University are seeking your support in the 2015 GRAMMY\u00ae Amplifier Center Stage contest.<\/p>\n
One of last year\u2019s winners also has ties to the DMI \u2014 Jessica Wishard, known musically as Jessica Faith. Faith recently had the chance to shoot a professional music video for her song \u201cWithout a Fight\u201d as one of three winners in 2014.<\/p>\n
The contest allows young musicians to share tracks via SoundCloud for a chance to have their music shared online by a panel of musical icons. Contest winners have a choice between a recording session with a leading GRAMMY producer; an opening act performance slot on a major tour or music festival; or a professionally produced music video.<\/p>\n
Contestants are considered based on how many plays and shares their tracks receive online and through social media. The more attention the track gets, the closer contestants are to becoming a winning GRAMMY Amplifier artist.<\/p>\n
Fans are allowed to click on each artist to \u201camplify\u201d them once per hour for unlimited votes. Voting is open until Feb. 20.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s winners will be announced in March at a GRAMMY Amplifier showcase at the SXSW 2015 festival in Austin, Texas.<\/p>\n
