The Delta State University Staff Council recently honored Crystal Beach, who works in procurement and property control for Delta State, as the November\u00a02014 Employee of the Month.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Beach\u00a0started her career at Delta State in August of 2013 as an accounts payable analyst\/inventory clerk. She was previously a regional probation manager for Judicial Correction Services and an accounts payable clerk for Delta & Pine Land\/Monsanto.<\/p>\n

Beach and her husband\u00a0Michael have two sons, Blaine and Caleb Kirkland, who attend Cleveland High School.<\/p>\n

“I\u00a0was speechless and honored to receive Delta State\u2019s Employee of the Month,” said Beach. “I\u00a0could not have been successful without the endless support from my\u00a0department, assistance from the OIT department, and the cooperation from faculty and staff throughout the audit process.”<\/p>\n

Employee of the Month distinction is given to a staff member who has provided service at Delta State that is considered over and beyond those duties outlined in his or her job description. Nominations are submitted by colleagues on campus.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each winner receives a plaque, monetary award, WalMart gift card from the Student Government Association, an engraved insulated coffee mug, a free parking decal courtesy of the Campus Police Department, a box of treats from The Sweetery, a parking spot of their choice, two Okra gift cards (one from Athletics and one from a private donor), marquee announcement and website recognition.<\/span>
