Delta State University is honored to host \u201cFashion Rules. Music Rocks,\u201d an elegant and unique event touted as the largest fashion show in the Mississippi Delta.<\/p>\n

The schedule kicks off at the Bologna Performing Arts Center Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. with cocktails in the Hazel Sanders Sculpture Garden and a silent auction. The runway comes to life with modeling and music at 8 p.m.<\/p>\n

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Delta State Fashion Merchandising program, Delta Music Institute, the Liza Jordan Vaughn Memorial Scholarship and an internship at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n

Presented by the Delta State University Foundation and the Memphis Charitable Foundation, this enchanting affair features a runway show presenting the stunning creations of world-renowned fashion designer Pat Kerr.<\/p>\n

Kerr is a Delta State supporter from Memphis and an esteemed couture designer of special occasion apparel. She is also a collector of royal memorabilia.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a great opportunity as a whole because it benefits four funds related to Delta State,\u201d said Dr. Jan Haynes, professor of fashion merchandising. \u201cIt\u2019s going to be a great experience for our fashion merchandising students to witness a show produced by a world-famous designer. It also acts as a learning experience for them as they\u2019ll be able to help Pat set up the event.\u201d<\/p>\n

Special guest Miss Mississippi Jasmine Murray is expected to be in attendance for the evening.<\/p>\n

The show also features an after party at The Warehouse restaurant in Cleveland. Entertainers include \u201cWildman\u201d Jason D. Williams and Southern Halo.<\/p>\n

Tickets range from $50-$100 and are available for purchase from the BPAC office and online at https:\/\/www.deltastategiving.org\/fashionrulesmusicrocks<\/a>.<\/p>\n
