\u201cThe Heart Behind the Music\u201d brings to the stage some of the world\u2019s best singers and songwriters who share the meaning and music behind their hit songs. This tour provides an up-close and personal insight into some of the greatest music ever written. The songwriter showcase is coming to the Bologna Performing Arts Center on March 24, 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

Due to circumstances beyond the BPAC\u2019s control, Collin Raye will be unable to perform as originally planned. The BPAC is excited to announce that Richie McDonald from the country super-group Lonestar will be joining the tour. <\/span><\/p>\n

McDonald has long been one of music\u2019s most accomplished and wide-ranging talents. Recognized as one of country\u2019s best singers, he is the face and voice of Lonestar, ranked among the genre\u2019s preeminent groups. A polished and engaging entertainer, he was the focal point of the group\u2019s storied touring career. <\/span><\/p>\n

As one of the industry\u2019s most successful songwriters, McDonald\u00a0has penned some of the era\u2019s most memorable songs and earned a mantle full of awards and nominations. He was the voice behind songs like \u201cAmazed,\u201d \u201cSmile\u201d and \u201cNo News,\u201d as well as the pen behind songs like \u201cMy Front Porch Looking In\u201d and \u201cLet Them Be Little.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The \u201cThe Heart Behind The Music\u201d tour will also include GRAMMY-nominated recording artist Deana Carter, whose career spans from her first GRAMMY nominated big hit \u201cStrawberry Wine\u201d to 2012\u2019s GRAMMY and CMA nominated Song of the Year, \u201cYou and Tequila,\u201d co-written by Carter and recorded by Kenny Chesney. She will be joined by two-time GRAMMY award winner Kim Carnes, known for \u201cBette Davis Eyes\u201d and the numerous hits she has written for Barbra Streisand, Kenny Rogers, Tim McGraw and many other well-known singers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Also along for the ride is John Ford Coley, half of the GRAMMY-nominated duo England Dan & John Ford Coley, best known for their hit \u201cI\u2019d Really Love to See You Tonight.\u201d Also taking the stage\u00a0is special guest Greg Barnhill, who has penned such hits as \u201cHouse of Love\u201d for Amy Grant and Vince Gill, as well as \u201cWalkaway Joe,\u201d a duet by Trisha Yearwood and Don Henley.<\/span><\/p>\n

While the artists are in town with the tour, a few of them will provide master classes. Additionally, the artists will be available to greet the audience following the performance.
