The recital will take place Nov.\u00a06 at 1:40 p.m.\u00a0in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Dr. Kumiko Shimizu, faculty collaborative pianist and associate professor of music, will accompany Young. The recital is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Young is the son of Rory and the late Kaffie Young of Corinth, Miss. He is a saxophone student under\u00a0Dr. Bret Pimentel, assistant professor of music. Young transferred to Delta State from Northeast Community College, and\u00a0since coming to Delta State, he\u00a0has performed with the DSU Wind Ensemble, the DSU Symphonic Band, the Pride of the Delta Marching Band, the DSU Jazz Band, the DSU Saxophone Quartet and the DSU Wednesday Night Steel Band.
