The Delta State University Alumni Association recently traveled to Natchez for the Southwest MS Alumni Chapter Event. The gathering was held Sept. 29 at Roux 61 restaurant. Over 30 alumni and friends attended.<\/p>\n

The program featured Delta State President William N. LaForge, who gave the crowd an update on the state of the university. Athletic Director Ronnie Mayers\u00a0provided\u00a0an update on athletics. Alumni Association staff, Jeffrey Farris and Jordan Thomas, spoke about the Alumni Association. Delta State alumnus Barry Lyons \u201884 also spoke to the group. Lyons was an NCAA All-American catcher for the Statesmen, and he went on to play for the New York Mets.\"photo-1\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Prospective students from\u00a0Franklin County were also in attendance.<\/p>\n
