{"id":58747,"date":"2014-02-10T08:18:09","date_gmt":"2014-02-10T14:18:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/?p=58747"},"modified":"2014-02-10T08:18:41","modified_gmt":"2014-02-10T14:18:41","slug":"58747","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2014\/02\/58747\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta teachers take heritage tour"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Delta Center for Culture and Learning recently presented a heritage tour to participants in a workshop titled <em>Resource Rich: The Mississippi Delta.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This workshop attracted 16 Delta teachers and 10 Delta State pre-service teachers.\u00a0 It was funded by\u00a0the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi as part of their Place-Based Education and Civic Entrepreneurship program.<\/p>\n<p>Dianne Thomas of the Delta State College of Education organized the workshop.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe purpose of the workshop was to present many of the rich resources available in our area to use when teaching students in the P-12 setting.
