Delta State\u2019s Department of Music presents Woodwind Chamber Ensembles in concert on Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Bologna Performing Arts Center Recital Hall. The concert will feature Delta State\u2019s Clarinet Duo, Saxophone Quartet and Flute Ensemble.<\/p>\n
The Flute Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Shelley Collins, Associate Professor of Music at Delta State, will perform A Celtic Celebration<\/i> by Ricky Lombardo, Tico-Tico no Fub\u00e1<\/i> by Zequinha de Abreu, and La Milonga<\/i> by Christopher Caliendo. Members of the ensemble are Lindsey Belton, Alex Corkran, Amanda Corkran, Emily Fox, Elizabeth Long, Stephanie Peck, Robyn Rouse, Keshia Trotter, and Sayre Weast.<\/p>\n
The Clarinet Duo, under the direction of Dr. Bret Pimentel, Assistant Professor of Music, will perform music by Mozart and Beethoven, and Better Get the Rake<\/i> by Rich Willey. Members of the ensemble are Tirzah Simmons and Courtney Wier.<\/p>\n
The Saxophone Quartet, under the direction of Pimentel, will perform music by two preludes by J. S. Bach and The Goldrush Suite<\/i> by Jack Marshall. Members of the ensemble are Sara Crider, Colby Kee, Kevin Sherman, and Rory Young.<\/p>\n
