The Delta State University Alumni Association is hosting a chapter meeting for the South Delta MS Chapter. This is the chapter’s first meeting. The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26, at The Onward Store in Rolling Fork. Registration and social begin at 6 p.m., and dinner and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m. Heavy hors d’oeuvers will be served. The cost in $15, and there will be a cash bar available. The South Delta MS Chapter includes Sharkey, Issaquena, Warren, and Yazoo counties.<\/p>\n
“I hope all alumni, friends, current students and their parents will join the South Delta DSU Alumni group in Onward, Mississippi,” said Anne Wynne Weissinger, president of the DSU Foundation. “We will hear exciting news about what is happening on the Delta State campus from some special guests.”
This is the newly formed chapter’s first meeting. They are also establishing a scholarship for the South Delta MS area.<\/p>\n
“We’re very excited about our newest Delta State alumni chapter,” said Jordan Thomas, assistant director of alumni affairs. “There has been a lot of excitement about the upcoming meeting, and we hope that all alumni and friends in the area will join us.”<\/p>\n
