{"id":2944,"date":"2012-02-09T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-09T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2012\/02\/09\/delta-state-archives-hosts-new-exhibit\/"},"modified":"2013-09-09T14:06:30","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T14:06:30","slug":"delta-state-archives-hosts-new-exhibit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2012\/02\/delta-state-archives-hosts-new-exhibit\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State Archives hosts new exhibit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"565\" height=\"731\" alt=\"\" src=\"\/Images\/univ_relations\/2012 Releases\/PicturingAmerica_Faces.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The public is invited to tour the newest exhibit at the Delta State University Archives &amp; Museum, &ldquo;Picturing America: Reflecting Mississippi &amp; the Delta&rdquo;.&nbsp; The National Endowment for the Humanities in cooperation with the American Library Association has developed &ldquo;Picturing America&rdquo; as a part of the We The People initiative in order to provide students across America an intellectual gateway to study and explore some of our nation&rsquo;s greatest artwork.&nbsp; The exhibit will be on display through March 30.<\/p>\n<p>The Miss. Humanities Council, Miss. Library Commission, Miss. Arts Commission, and the Miss.
