{"id":2354,"date":"2011-01-12T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-12T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2011\/01\/12\/delta-state-university-to-offer-educational-field-trip-to-vicksburg\/"},"modified":"2013-09-09T14:07:26","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T14:07:26","slug":"delta-state-university-to-offer-educational-field-trip-to-vicksburg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2011\/01\/delta-state-university-to-offer-educational-field-trip-to-vicksburg\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State University to offer educational field trip to Vicksburg"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Delta State University&rsquo;s office of Graduate and Continuing Studies will host an educational field trip to explore the Civil War and Old South history April 1-3, in Vicksburg. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Delta State faculty and guest lecturers will provide participants with a fascinating, firsthand journey of the Civil War era through a series of lectures and tours including the Vicksburg National Military Park where participants can walk in the footsteps of soldiers.<\/p>\n<p>The cost is $225 per person for the entire weekend which includes Hotel accommodations at the Hampton Inn and Suites located across from the Vicksburg National Military Park. Rooms are double occupancy; however private rooms are available for an additional fee. <\/p>\n<p>The fieldtrip is open to the public.
