{"id":2182,"date":"2010-09-15T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-09-15T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2010\/09\/15\/delta-state-to-celebrate-25th-annual-pig-pickin\/"},"modified":"2013-09-09T14:07:39","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T14:07:39","slug":"delta-state-to-celebrate-25th-annual-pig-pickin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2010\/09\/delta-state-to-celebrate-25th-annual-pig-pickin\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State to celebrate 25th annual Pig Pickin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"287\" width=\"558\" alt=\"Pig Pickin&rsquo; in Statesmen Park\" src=\"\/Images\/univ_relations\/2010Releases\/pigpickin_main_crowd.jpg\" class=\"caption\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Delta State University will celebrate its 25th annual Pig Pickin&rsquo;  Friday, Sept. 24, and Saturday, Sept. 25, in Statesmen Park located at  the north side of the football stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Friday events include Young Alumni Tailgating Party at 7 p.m., followed  by Delta Rox Performance \/Ole Skool Revue at 8 p.m., both in Statesmen  Park.<\/p>\n<p>Saturday events which includes a KidsZone, live entertainment by  Delta State&rsquo;s &ldquo;Ol&rsquo; Skool Revue&rdquo; band, pep rally with the Delta State  cheerleaders, marching band, and football team will begin at 1 p.m.,  prior to the Statesmen&rsquo;s 6 p.m., kick-off versus Henderson State at  Parker Field-McCool Stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Barbecue tickets are $5 each and are available for purchase at the Hugh  Ellis Walker Alumni-Foundation House. Serving lines will be open from  3-5 p.m. In case of rain, barbecue plates will be available for pick up  at the Young-Mauldin Dining Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Game tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at the Chadwick-Dickson  Field House.
