Delta \t\t\tState University’s Office of Graduate and Continuing Studies, and \t\t\tthe College of Education, recently kicked off the “Join Us” campaign \t\t\tby hosting an informational session to promote Delta State’s \t\t\tgraduate programs to Teach For America (TFA) corps members.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Delta \t\t\tState faculty members were in attendance to answer questions from \t\t\tTFA members who were interested in pursuing a master’s degree after \t\t\tthe training institute convenes.  <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\t\t\t “Many TFA corps members expressed an interest in pursuing a \t\t\tmaster’s degree at Delta State either in the fall 2010 or spring \t\t\t2011 term,” commented Dr. Albert Nylander, dean of the Office of \t\t\tGraduate and Continuing Studies at Delta State.   <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\t\t\tInformational tables were set up throughout the campus to promote \t\t\tthe graduate programs to TFA members during their stay this summer.  \t\t\t<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The \t\t\tOffice of Graduate and Continuing Studies will begin the admission \t\t\tprocess to assist in getting these students enrolled in courses for \t\t\tthe upcoming fall and spring terms. “These individuals are motivated \t\t\tto further their education and see Delta State as a very good \t\t\tchoice,” stated Kathryn Harlow, Delta State graduate recruiter.  \t\t\t<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
