Delta State University’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC ) and the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation will hosta workshop titled “Starting a Small Business Series: First Steps” on Thursday, April 8, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation, 402 highway 82 bypass in Greenwood.<\/font><\/p>\n

This workshop will outline the basic steps to start a business and will include regulations such as licenses and permits; legal forms of business ownership; basic marketing concepts to help analyze the revenue potential; lending terminology; and other resources to assist in starting a business.<\/span><\/div>\n

The Starting a Small Businessseries will also include the following two workshops at the same location on the following dates and times.<\/span><\/div>\n

May 5: Developing a Business Plan from noon to 1 p.m.<\/span><\/div>\n
June 2: What the Banker Wants from noon to 1 p.m.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Registration is required for all workshops.<\/span><\/div>\n

Delta State University’s SBDC is a member of the Mississippi Small Business Development Centers which has assisted Mississippi businesses since 1981.
