The Delta State University Mississippi Small Business Development Center (MSBDC) will host a workshop entitled “First Steps to Starting a Small Business” on Friday, Feb. 12, from 3-4:30 p.m. in Room 271 of Broom Hall on the campus.<\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop will outline the basic steps to starting a business. Topics to be covered will include regulations such as licenses and permits; legal forms of business ownership; basic marketing concepts to help analyze the revenue potential; lending terminology; outline for a business plan and other resources to assist in starting a business.<\/span><\/p>\n

Funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. MSBDC at Delta State University is a member of the Mississippi Small Business Development Centers (MSBDC) network. MSBDC has assisted Mississippi businesses since 1981.  <\/span><\/p>\n

Registration is required for this workshop which is free and open to the public.<\/span><\/p>\n
