{"id":1762,"date":"2010-02-04T10:31:27","date_gmt":"2010-02-04T10:31:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2010\/02\/04\/ravetto-and-fosheim-to-present-faculty-recital-at-delta-state\/"},"modified":"2013-09-09T14:08:22","modified_gmt":"2013-09-09T14:08:22","slug":"ravetto-and-fosheim-to-present-faculty-recital-at-delta-state","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2010\/02\/ravetto-and-fosheim-to-present-faculty-recital-at-delta-state\/","title":{"rendered":"Ravetto and Fosheim to present faculty recital at Delta State"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\"><font face=\"Arial\">The Delta State University Department of Music will present Ms. Anne-Ga&euml;lle Ravetto, violin, and Dr. Karen Fosheim, piano, in a faculty recital on Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">The event, &ldquo;Violin Sonata Soir&eacute;e: A Hint of Spring,&quot; will feature three sonatas for violin and piano by the composers Beethoven, Brahms, and Debussy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Ravetto is a freelance violinist and teacher. She is an adjunct faculty member of the Delta State Music Department, serves as a collaborative artist, and maintains a private teaching studio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">Fosheim, professor of music at Delta State, teaches piano and music theory courses, and directs the Community Drumming Ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoPlainText\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'\">The recital is free and open to the public.
