The photographs of Atlanta photographer William Anderson will be featured in an exhibit at the Capps Archives and Museum at Delta State University. <\/font><\/p>\n

The exhibit entitled “A compassionate Eye: Photography of William Anderson” will open with a reception from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 7 in the main gallery of the Capps Museum.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
For about 40 years, Anderson has been documenting life among African Americans living in the southeastern United States. His black-and-white photographs have been on display in prestigious museums including the National Gallery of Art, Yale University Art Gallery, Bodleian Library at Oxford University in England, the High Museum of Art, Wadsworth Antheneum Museum of Art, and the J. Paul Getty Museum. <\/span><\/div>\n

Anderson recently retired as an associate professor at Morehouse College and is a sculptor, painter, printmaker, and musician as well as a photographer. <\/span><\/div>\n

The exhibit will be available for viewing through April 30. Museum hours are Monday – Thursday, 8 a.m.- noon and 1-5 p.m. and Friday, 8 a.m.- noon and 1-4 p.m.<\/span><\/div>\n
