The Delta Area Association for Improvement of Schools (DAAIS) held a mid-year celebration with a luncheon in the State Room of the H.L. Nowell Union on the Delta State University campus.<\/font><\/p>\n

During the luncheon, presentations were made to three community college partners comprised of Coahoma Community College; Hinds Community College, Vicksburg Campus; and Mississippi Delta Community College. <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The keynote of the luncheon was presented by Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann. The topic of Hosemann’s address was “16th<\/sup> Section Leases.” The lease of the 16th<\/sup> section in each township is used for the support of public schools.<\/span><\/div>\n
