The sixth grade class at B.L. Bell Elementary recently learned the importance of financial literacy, how to balance a checkbook and how to write a check.  <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Delta State University, through its Center for Community and Economic Development AmeriCorps*VISTA program, has partnered with State Bank & Trust to work with schools in the Cleveland School District to implement the Importance of Financial Literacy Program. <\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The purpose of this program is to teach students at an early age the financial tools they need to improve their spending and saving habits.  <\/span><\/div>\n
