{"id":1570,"date":"2009-10-22T09:30:06","date_gmt":"2009-10-22T09:30:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/10\/22\/delta-states-boschert-receives-humanities-award\/"},"modified":"2013-09-03T12:54:30","modified_gmt":"2013-09-03T12:54:30","slug":"delta-states-boschert-receives-humanities-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/10\/delta-states-boschert-receives-humanities-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State&#8217;s Boschert receives humanities award"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"216\" alt=\"\" width=\"144\" src=\"\/Images\/univ_relations\/BoschertThomassm.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><font size=\"2\">Dr. Thomas Boschert, professor in the Department of History at Delta State University, has been awarded the Mississippi Humanities Council&rsquo;s (MHC) 2009 Teacher of the Year Award.&nbsp; <\/font><\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The award funded by the MHC every October to commemorate Arts and Humanities Month, is presented to one educator from each institution of higher learning in the state of Mississippi.&nbsp; Winners of the award receive $500 and will be recognized at the MHC&rsquo;s annual award dinner on February 26, 2010.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Boschert has taught history at Delta State University for the past 11 years.
