{"id":1524,"date":"2009-10-02T11:56:06","date_gmt":"2009-10-02T11:56:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/10\/02\/delta-state-university-to-announce-major-gift\/"},"modified":"2013-09-03T12:54:33","modified_gmt":"2013-09-03T12:54:33","slug":"delta-state-university-to-announce-major-gift","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/10\/delta-state-university-to-announce-major-gift\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta State University to announce major gift"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\">The Delta State University Alumni Foundation will hold a press conference on Thursday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m. to announce a major contribution to the University&rsquo;s Mathematics Department.&nbsp; <\/font><\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The press conference will take place in front of Caylor-Walters Hall on the Delta State campus.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">&ldquo;To my knowledge, this will be the largest planned gift ever made by an employee of the University,&rdquo; said Keith Fulcher, executive director of the Alumni Foundation.&nbsp;&ldquo;This gift will one day result in a dramatic increase in annual scholarship money for the Mathematics Department.&rdquo;<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">The public is invited to attend the press conference.
