{"id":1418,"date":"2009-08-03T11:27:48","date_gmt":"2009-08-03T11:27:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/08\/03\/delta-states-desoto-area-alumni-to-host-5th-annual-gathering\/"},"modified":"2013-09-03T12:54:48","modified_gmt":"2013-09-03T12:54:48","slug":"delta-states-desoto-area-alumni-to-host-5th-annual-gathering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/news-and-events\/2009\/08\/delta-states-desoto-area-alumni-to-host-5th-annual-gathering\/","title":{"rendered":"Delta States DeSoto area alumni to host 5th annual gathering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font size=\"2\">Delta State University DeSoto County area alumni chapter will host its annual summer meeting Saturday, August 15, at the BankPlus Training Center in Southaven.<\/font><\/p>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>A social\/ registration will be held from 5:30 &#8211; 6:30 p .m. followed by the program\/dinner. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Coaches and campus administrators will be in attendance to give an update on Delta State University.&nbsp; <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>The theme for the gathering will be &ldquo;A Salute to Finance,&rdquo; a representative from the Delta State finance department will be on hand to answer questions.&nbsp; <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Delta State&rsquo;s Delta Music Institute, student band Ol&rsquo; Skool Revue will provide entertainment during the social hour.&nbsp; <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Delta State apparel and promotional material will be available for purchase.&nbsp; An opportunity to support the DeSoto Scholarship Fund will be available by purchasing a raffle ticket during the registration period. <\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span>Tickets are $15 per person, which includes the social hour and program\/dinner. &nbsp;The menu will include catfish and chicken tenders with all the trimmings.
