Delta State University’s Small Business Development Center,<\/span> which assists small business owners with their start-up and expansion needs,<\/span> will offer free small business workshops in the Delta area during the months of July, August and September, 2009. <\/font><\/p>\n

First Steps\/Small Business Primer – Shelby:<\/span><\/u><\/strong> This workshop will assist you with the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Monday, July 13, from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Shelby Public Library, Broadway Street in Shelby.    <\/span> <\/strong>  <\/span><\/div>\n

First Steps\/Small Business Primer – Cleveland:<\/span><\/u><\/strong> This workshop will assist you with the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, July 22, from 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Broom Hall, Room 271, at Delta State University.  <\/strong> <\/span><\/div>\n

First Steps\/Small Business Primer – Grenada:<\/span><\/u><\/strong>  <\/span>This workshop will assist you with the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 23, from 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at the Abundant Life Church in Grenada.   <\/strong> <\/span><\/div>\n

Developing a Business Plan – Belzoni:<\/span><\/u><\/strong> This workshop will assist you with building a business plan to be used for financing purposes.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 30, from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Guaranty Bank Conference Center in Belzoni.  <\/span><\/div>\n

First Steps\/Small Business Primer – Indianola:<\/span><\/u><\/strong>This workshop will assist you with the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, August 12, from 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m. at the Sunflower County Library, 201 Cypress Drive in Indianola.  <\/span><\/div>\n

What the Banker Wants – Cleveland:<\/span><\/u><\/strong> This workshop will assist with all items the banker will want to review before making a loan.  This workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 18, from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. in Broom Hall, Room 271, at Delta State University.  <\/span><\/div>\n

First Steps\/<\/span>Small Business Primer – Ruleville:<\/span><\/u><\/strong>This workshop will assist you with the steps necessary to start your own business.  The workshop will be held on Tuesday, August 25, from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Ruleville Library, 128 S. Ruby Avenue in Ruleville.   <\/span><\/div>\n

Developing a Business Plan – Drew:<\/span><\/u><\/strong> This workshop will assist you with building a business plan to be used for financing purposes.  The workshop will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 9, from 2:30 p.m. – 4 p.m. at the Drew Library, 290 W. Park Avenue in Drew. <\/span><\/div>\n
