Following a hiatus of a decade, the Cleveland Summer Band was reorganized during the summer of 2008 under Cleveland resident Rogers Varner and Delta State University Director of Bands Dr. John Wojcik. <\/font><\/p>\n

 <\/div>\n
The Cleveland Summer Band invites all interested parties to join them this summer for a second season of a musical good time.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/strong><\/div>\n
Rehearsals for the 2009 season will be held on Tuesdays: May 26, <\/span>June 2, 9, 16, and 23 inthe Band Room, Room 150 of Zeigel Hallfrom 6-7:15 p.m.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
Easy listening, fun and popular music will be the order for the day.  The band will consist of high school students, college students, Delta State faculty and staff and surrounding community members.<\/span><\/div>\n
 <\/div>\n
The season will conclude with a concert and ice cream social on Tuesday, June 30, at 6 p.m. in the Jacobs Conference Center of James M. Ewing Hall.<\/span><\/div>\n

Even if you haven’t played in awhile, brush the dust off the instrument and come join us.  If you don’t have an instrument, there will be a number of instruments available for loan.<\/span><\/div>\n
