CLEVELAND, Miss. \u2014 <\/strong>Delta State University is proud to announce that Edward McCadney, Procurement Contract Specialist, has been accepted into the 2026 cohort of the Bolivar County L.E.A.D. program. McCadney was selected based on his professional performance, commitment to service and demonstrated leadership potential within the community.<\/p>\n

L.E.A.D. Bolivar \u2014\u00a0Leadership \u2022 Education \u2022 Action \u2022 Development\u00a0\u2014 is a comprehensive community leadership program designed to equip participants with the knowledge, relationships, and real-world insight needed to strengthen our region. Through immersive sessions, hands-on experiences, and meaningful dialogue, class members gain a deeper understanding of the industries, institutions, and people that drive progress across Bolivar County.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are proud of Edward for taking this next step in his professional development,\u201d said Kelvin Davis, Associate Vice President of Finance and Administration at DSU. \u201cEffective leadership is built on growth, collaboration and service to others. Edward represents those values and reflects the mission of Delta State University.\u201d<\/p>\n

Davis said McCadney\u2019s selection reflects the university\u2019s commitment to developing leaders who contribute both on campus and throughout the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cEdward\u2019s work in Procurement requires strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity,\u201d Davis said. \u201cThose qualities make him well suited for this program. His participation will strengthen connections between Delta State University and the Bolivar County community, and we look forward to the perspective he will bring back to campus.\u201d<\/p>\n
