DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this event is to engage students and community members in advocating for the continued funding and support of the Federal TRIO Programs\, which provide critical resources to low-income\, first-generation students. Through this table event\, hosted in collaboration with All In Democracy and First Gen Connect\, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the impact of TRIO programs and send messages directly to their elected officials urging them to protect TRIO funding. This initiative empowers students to use their voices in the democratic process and supports equitable access to higher education.
