SUMMARY:Balancing School Accountability Discussion with The Alluvial Collective
DESCRIPTION:The MS Economic Council (MEC) and Ascent to 55% are hosting a series of community listening sessions entitled “Balancing the Accountability Model” where they are proposing changes to the school accountability rating system to incentivize schools to do more to prepare students to obtain post-secondary workforce credentials or “Certificates of Value”. The Alluvial Collective is convening an additional listening session in cities where the MEC’s sessions are occurring\, but in the evenings. The Alluvial Collective in partnership with the Office of Student Affairs will host this additional listening session in Baioni Conference Center at 6 pm on October 3\, 2023.

SUMMARY:All of Us Research Program
DESCRIPTION:This program is a general population precision medicine study that is funded by the NIH. The objective is to advance precision medicine by including 1 million or more participants in the program for researches to have the data to make this possible. The program does not provide any medical care but does provide individual reports back to participants. They can receive a DNA and ancestry report\, a hereditary disease risk report\, and a pharmacogenomic report. The enrollment process is two-fold: Three consents and three surveys to complete\, which will be done digitally- either through the All of Us App\, or the website (www.joinallofus.org) and the second step is to complete the biospecimen collection.

DESCRIPTION:Recently named “a Southern Cultural Treasure” by South Arts and the Ford Foundation\, Collage Dance Collective is the largest Black-led performing arts organizations in the South and one of a few professional ballet companues in the world with a roster of BIPOC dancers. \nWorking to inspire the growth and diversity of ballet\, Collage Dance Collective showcases a repetoire of relevant choreography and world-class dancers representative of the communities we serve.
