The speaker will be Dr. Caroline Peyton\, Associate Professor of Teaching at the University of Memphis. Dr. Peyton earned her PhD in History from the University of South Carolina. She authored Radioactive Dixie: A Nuclear History of the American South\, published by the University of Georgia Press in 2025. Dr. Peyton’s book will serve as the basis for her lecture on April 16th.
