SUMMARY:MAIE/Study Mississippi Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:The annual MAIE/Study Mississippi conference draws institutions\, businesses\, government officials\, and individuals from Mississippi\, the United States\, and internationally to discuss all matters pertaining to international education. Workshops and sessions have centered on important topics such as international student recruitment and retention\, immigration law and policies\, DHS/ICE’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)\, study abroad opportunities\, and campus internationalization. \nStudy Mississippi is a consortium of accredited education institutions in Mississippi which connects international students and professionals with quality Mississippi education and training. Members include high schools\, community colleges\, public and private colleges and universities\, and professional English language schools. The Study Mississippi consortium model is unique from other consortia in that it targets student mobility in two ways – bringing more international students to Mississippi and encouraging domestic students across the state to study abroad. \nTo register for this event or for more information\, please contact Michelle Johansen at mjohansen@deltastate.edu.
