Delta State Trombone Day – Slidin’ in the Delta 2022

| This day-long clinic will feature trombonist Mr. Mark Kellogg, Professor of Trombone at the Eastman School of Music and The Trombones of the 41st United States Army Band.
Mr. Kellogg and members of the 41st United States Army Band will lead the participants through a series of interactive activities including group warm-ups, trombone choir rehearsal, masterclasses, panel discussions, recitals and direction of a large “en-masse” trombone choir performance of all participants. DSU Trombone Day will provide a unique learning experience to a number of different constituents. Participants will be engaged throughout the day with activities that will require listening, thinking and playing. In addition to serving Delta State students, this event will bring together students from regional high schools, community colleges and other four-year institutions, as well as trombone players of all ages. Join us for some world-class performances! There are concerts at 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm which are free and open to the public. However, clinic participants will be assessed a registration fee, which will be used to help defray costs. |
