We have lots going on today! 

 ·         Not sure where to go when you arrive on campus? Volunteers will be stationed at entrances to campus to assist parents and students in locating their residence halls. Look for the signs that say: “Need Help? Ask Me!”

 ·         Need help moving in to the residence hall? The Student Government Association, Orientation Leaders, student organizations, local churches, athletes, faculty, staff and students will be on hand to assist with unloading at the residence halls.

 ·         Thirsty and hungry? We’ll have a “Welcome Tent” in front of the dining hall serving FREE water, RC, ice cream sandwiches and snow cones. Java City, our campus coffee shop, will also be open in the Student Union so you can purchase coffee and other drinks/snacks.

 ·         Need information about Cleveland? The Cleveland/Bolivar County of Chamber will be at the Welcome Tent with information about the area, including shopping and dining.

 ·         Will any DSU Alumni be with you that day? If so, encourage them to stop by the Welcome Tent. Our DSU Alumni Association will be there to welcome them!

 ·         Want to finalize arrangements before next week? Several campus offices will be open on Sunday from 1-5pm to make it convenient to finalize plans…Bookstore, Financial Aid, Police, Registrar’s Office, Student Business Services.

 ·         Need a lift? The "People Movers" will be out and about offering shuttle services.

 ·         Feeling lightheaded or see someone who has gotten too hot because of the outside temperature?  Our campus health center will be open to assist as needed and also to provide a cool location to rest.  Call 662-846-4155 (campus police), and we’ll be there for immediate attention!
