The Alice Sullivan Pharis Collection contains photos and news clippings of the Delta Belles.\u00a0 The Delta State Delta Belles began in 1957 under the leadership of Band Director Ralph Franklin.\u00a0 Mrs. Dorothy Franklin assisted in the training.\u00a0 They were a group of twenty-six\u00a0 dancing majorettes and performed precision dance and march steps along with the Delta State College band.\u00a0 This collection contains photos and news clippings about the group.<\/p>\n
