  1. L. Nowell served Delta State from 1949 until 1987 under many titles, including Director of Public Relations, Director of Student Activities, Alumni Secretary, Dean of Men, and Cheerleader Sponsor. He was also the first Director of the Union, thus the DSU<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Union is named for him. His life is told through this collection in documents, pictures, and correspondence. There are countless documents in the collection expressing H. L. Nowell\u2019s tremendous influence on Delta State\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n
