The Jewish Collection was an Advanced Research Writing Class (ELR 702) DSU Project that focused on World War II the Jewish people of the Mississippi Delta.\u00a0 Six students interviewed twelve Jewish people and their experiences growing up in the Mississippi Delta.\u00a0 This collection contains the class papers prepared by each student and a booklet \u201cThe Early History of the Hebrew Congregation,\u201d as well as photos of the Hebrew Union Temple.<\/p>\n

This Advanced Research Writing Class Project was in August 2001.\u00a0 It is still a class offered to graduate and doctorate students.\u00a0 See attached syllabus.<\/p>\n
