Union Program Council

The Union Program Council, better known as “UPC,” is a student-led organization that brings programming and entertainment to the Delta State University campus. All events and activities UPC hosts are FREE to current DSU students, faculty, and staff, who present a valid Okra Card at event registration. Sign-in sheets are available at each event for faculty or staff interested in promoting an event for course credit, may contact the Office of Student Life.

Welcome Week is a week-long welcome event for all DSU students. Typically held in the fall semester of each academic year, Welcome Week is filled with fun activities and events to highlight student organizations and ways to be involved on campus.

Springfest is our annual spring semester event, similar to Fall’s Welcome Week. Springfest is a one-day festival celebrating student activities on the Quad and in the Union.

De-Stress Fest is a week-long schedule of events held in the fall and spring semesters advertising campus-wide activities to help you de-stress before finals week.

SPRING De-Stress Fest will be held April 24th – May 5th!

SPRING De-Stress Fest

The UPC is comprised of branches: the Student Director serves as the student leader of the organization, Committee Chairmen are selected as members who lead in event planning, logistics, advertisement, and other duties, as needed, and 30 additional students are appointed to complete the Council. All UPC members meet weekly to plan yearly activities for the University.

Traditional events include, but are not limited to, Welcome Week, De-Stress Fest, and Springfest. While other events are planned, as needed to complete the yearly activities calendar.

Any University student may apply for positions on UPC. Select the ‘Get Involved’ tab to complete the application.
