The DSU Fitness Center is housed in the 5,000 sq. ft. Gymnastics room of Wyatt Gymnasium. It is open to all students, faculty, and staff. It has 30 modern weight machines made by Cybex and Body Master along with treadmills, stairmasters, recumbent and upright stationary bicycles. There are two machines that are accessible for individuals with a disability that allows them to build their cardiovascular and muscular strength.
Under supervision of the Director of Recreation and Wellness Activities, the center provides assistance for students in designing fitness programs, assessing health related components of fitness including blood pressure and body composition. Individual fitness records may be kept in the fitness center.
