International Student Admission Requirements


Freshman Students

 

To be considered for admission to Delta State University, an entering freshman student must meet the following:

  • Minimum ACT composite score of 16 or minimum SAT combined critical reading and math score of 770. Please note that only testing center scores are accepted and super-scoring is not permitted.

  • Meet freshman admission requirements and have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all college courses attempted.

 


Transfer Students
 

To be considered for admission to Delta State University, a transfer student must meet one of the following:

  • Transfer from a regionally accredited U.S. institution with a 2.00 or higher GPA and successfully complete the following 30 semester credit hours:
                        6 semester hours                      English Composition
                        3 semester hours                      College Algebra or higher math
                        6 semester hours                      Laboratory Science
                        6 semester hours                      Behavior Sciences 
                        9 semester hours                      Transferable Electives
 
  • One year of study in a foreign university with a 2.00 or higher GPA, meet minimum Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and ACT/SAT score requirements.
  • Meet freshman admission requirements and have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA on all college courses attempted.
