Federal Work Study
The Federal Work Study program provides jobs for students with financial need, allowing them to earn money to pay education expenses. Approximately 300 students are awarded work study at Delta State each year. Most of those students work 8-10 hours per week at minimum wage. Paychecks are issued on the 15th of each month. Work study award amounts must be earned and will not be applied toward fees at registration.
If you have been awarded Federal Work Study, contact the department(s) that you would be interested in working for directly to determine if they have openings and would like to hire you for their department. Once you find an opening, the department will have additional paperwork for you to complete. Be prepared to show your original social security card and a picture ID.
