Leigh-Anne Gant is the Director of Preschool Programs for the Division of Family and Consumer Sciences. She is a native of Cleveland, earned a Bachelor Science in Family and Consumer Sciences and Master of Elementary Education at Delta State University.  Prior to becoming the Director of Preschool Programs, Mrs. Gant was a Coordinator with the Cleveland School District. She directed Even Start, a family literacy program designed to help expectant mothers achieve educational goals and parenting skills. She also designed and directed a community summer art program for children in the Cleveland area. Mrs. Gant was a founder of Bright Beginnings, a nonprofit organization, committed to preparing families and children under the age of five for school readiness, and serves as President.
